GÖKHAN TİRYAKİ

Born in Istanbul in 1972, Gökhan Tiryaki worked as a cameraman on numerous TV films and documentaries during his time at the national television channel TRT between 1991 and 1996. Since 1996, he has continued his career as a cinematographer and director, adding more than thirty films to his filmography, including Once Upon a Time in Anatolia and Winter Sleep.

Since 2016, Gökhan Tiryaki has been a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), which determines the Oscar awards. He is also a member of the Asia Pacific Screen Academy and the European Film Academy.
